CONSTRUCTION work is progressing at a housing development - with more than 50 per cent of new homes already reserved.

Property developer Bellway is building 165 homes at Kingsland Gate, in London Road, Hassocks.

The development includes 115 homes for private sale and 50 affordable homes available for local people through rental or shared ownership.

Out of the private homes, 58 have been sold, construction completed has already been completed on 18 with the buyers now moved in.

The remaining homes that are available to purchase includes a mix of two, three and four-bedroom terraced, semi-detached and detached properties.

Daniel Williamson, sales director for Bellway South London, said: “Kingsland Gate is forming into an attractive new community, and we have passed yet another milestone at the development.

“The development has attracted a mix of buyers including first-time buyers, families and downsizers, who’ve been drawn in by a number of features including the development’s proximity to the village centre and Hassocks train station, both just a short walk away.

“Hassocks station provides services to Brighton and Gatwick Airport, as well as London Victoria in under an hour.

“There are two showhomes on site which are currently open to view by appointment only.

"The showhomes, a three-bedroom mason and a four-bedroom weaver, showcase the quality and finish of the homes, which have been designed to suit modern lifestyles.

“With construction moving apace, we are on track to completing the build here in early 2023.”

All the homes at Kingsland Gate are from Bellway’s artisan collection, the housebuilder’s flagship range of houses.

These have come from two years of development and decades of customer input, which combines traditional craftsmanship and attention to detail with the newest construction techniques.

Bellway is building a range of two, three and four-bedroom homes at Kingsland Gate, with prices currently start at £377,000.
