JLS will reunite for the Beat Again Tour this winter.

The band broke the news on Wednesday, announcing a 2020 UK tour at the same time.

“What’s up everyone?? We are so happy to announce that we are BACK!!” reads a note on their website.

“2020 felt like the right time as it marks a lot of important anniversaries for us... It’s the 12th anniversary of JLS being a group, the 11th anniversary of our debut album release and 10 years since we became the Best British Breakthrough Act at the Brits!! So, since there is so much for us to celebrate, we decided there was one thing we just HAD to do… GO ON TOUR!!”

The band will hit the road in November and currently has 15 gigs scheduled in the UK and in Ireland.

“2020 marks 10 years since our very first tour too, so it’s incredibly special that we get to see all of you again – our amazing fans – later in the year. We can’t wait...” reads the band’s announcement.

The note is signed with the letters “O, J, A, M”, the initials of band members Oritsé Williams, JB Gill, Aston Merrygold and Marvin Humes.

Tickets will go on sale on Friday 21 February.

Fans can register for a pre-sale online.

JLS rose to fame after becoming runner-ups in the fifth series of The X Factor in 2008.

The band released its self-titled debut album in 2009, followed by Outta This World in 2010 and Jukebox in 2011.

Evolution, its fourth and so far final studio album, came out in 2012.

JLS announced their intention to split in April 2013, saying they would do so after a farewell tour and a compilation album titled Goodbye – The Greatest Hits.

The band will play at the Brighton Centre on Sunday, November 15.
