German siblings Otto and Astrid Rot want to be punk rockers. If they can learn to get along.

The comedians and musicians (who are actually from Australia) put on a show following in the footsteps of Flight Of The Concords or Spinal Tap.

Otto seems to model himself on a member of Kiss with his dramatic make-up – but his pouts and poses are more akin to Zoolander.

The try-hard guitarist adores his older sister, on the drums, dressed in a wonderfully dramatic black and red outfit and whose facial expressions as she plays are priceless.

Their songs – from a dramatic and long piece tracking their childhood – to the short and punchy Get Your Finger Out Of My Ass, which was written by Astrid in a ‘moment of inspiration’, all provoked a laugh.

Their slapstick banter and commentary in between did have the audience in hysterics, despite some pauses when the banter lulled – the occasional awkward silence was more uncomfortable than funny in its existence.

But with catchy one-liners and catchphrases, a variety of styles of songs written by the obviously talented musicians (even if one about robots did seem a little too close to Flight Of The Concord tracks), they proved to be a popular act.
