The Mancuniun quartet’s sonic energy and bratty essence provided the perfect opening night party at The Green Door Store.

The all-female indie-poppers, who handed out party bags to audience members prior to their show, have been sitting on the verge of breakthrough for quite some time.

However, the band proved why soon to be released second album, Wild Nights, should be taken seriously, with a brilliantly energetic, dynamic set.

An endlessly textured, original pop sound was perfectly complimented by a captivating stage presence.

Frontwoman, Faith Holgate’s mysterious glances gripped the audience’s attention during plodding intros, whilst bassist, Anna Donigan’s relaxed aura only added to the impending anticipation.

Momentum was gathered as the set went on. Introductions drowned into a fuzzy mess, before re-emerging as fast, hypnotic pop.

Throwing themselves around the stage, tracks erupted into a wall of noise, delighting the ecstatic audience.

Each member chipped in vocally, with call and response versus and harmonisations used effectively to beef up the stubborn lyrics.

A brief Cyndi Lauper tribute brought a close to a perfectly sculptured set. PINS seem to posses the full package, with major success surely on the cards in the not so distant future.
