Having made his name with YouTube hit Downstairs At Downton, Luke Kempner’s mash up of Downton Abbey and other TV favourites did not disappoint.

Direct from a West End run and American tour, the impressions comedy was consistently amusing and occasionally side-splitting.

Seamlessly shifting from one character to another without using costume or props, writer and star Kempner simply tweaked his posture for each character.

It was a tight, pacey performance with accurate physical impressions and impressive vocal dexterity.

The one-man show saw the Crawley family in financial trouble, reduced to dining on lobster for breakfast “every other day”.

The characters decided their only hope was entering reality TV shows.

Mrs Patmore and Daisy appeared on Kitchen Nightmares With Gordon Ramsay, Thomas entered quiz show Jeopardy and Mr Bates competed against Andy Murray in Wimbledon.

Hilarious clashing of cultures ensued.

Moments of instant recognition had the audience in stitches, such as Lady Mary; recognisably stiff before she even spoke.

The brilliantly bonkers finale saw Sir Ian McKellen marrying the Dowager and Daniel Radcliffe.

There were a couple of superfluous sketches, but the parody was so engaging it was easily forgivable.

An entertaining accompaniment to the final series of the beloved TV drama.
