Based on the LazyTown children’s TV series, this live tour is bringing the message to young ones that “sugar makes you weak”.
Lazy Air Crew Piggles and Columbo encouraged the young audience to fly like aeroplanes into Lazy Town where an energy meter was waiting to make Brighton the most energetic city on the planet.
Complete with all the characters from the TV show including Sportacus, Stephanie and Ziggy, the show was a fatigue-inducing onslaught of exercise and song from Go For It to Noone’s Lazy In Lazy Town.
Baddy Robbie Rotten wanted to get rid of all the fruit and vegetables in Lazy Town but sports candy (formerly known as apples) save the day.
Sporticus, adorned in moustache and goggles, somersaulted and back-flipped his way to glory as he told the audience: “Anyone can be a superhero, the trick is never to give up”.
Young children joined in with many of the action songs, and especially loved it when two huge soft balls were bounced around the audience.
Like the TV show, which is enjoying a resurgence, LazyTown Live is a parallel universe requiring a suspension of disbelief to enter.
