They're rocking in the aisles at Eastbourne this week to the songs of Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, Eddie Cochran, Del Shannon and Ricky Nelson.

These idols are brought back to life in Bill Kenwright's wonderful tribute extravaganza Rock 'N' Roll Heaven at the Devonshire Park Theatre.

We are transported back to the 1950s and 60s as we are treated to all our favourite rock 'n' roll favourites.

The charismatic AJ Dean opens the show as a young gyrating Elvis, performing hits such as Evil, Hound Dog and Heartbreak Hotel. Later he transforms into Cochran to deliver Come On Everybody and Summertime Blues.

Damien Edwards' falsetto voice is perfect for performing as Shannon and Orbison. Hits come one after another, with Shannon's Hats Off To Larry, Little Town Flirt and Runaway followed by Orbison's Only The Lonely, You Got It and Running Scared.

Reuven Gershon recaptures Holly's excitement and humour in belting out Oh Boy, Heartbeat and That'll Be The Day, while Liam Doyle recreates the boy-next-door charm and nuances of Nelson with Fools Rush In and Hello Mary Lou.

In the second half a more mature Elvis (AJ Dean) performs That's The Wonder Of You and Guitar Man.

Superb supporting musicians, under the direction of Pierce Tee, help recreate the strong beats and sounds of yesteryear, which have a satisfied audience continuing to dance down the aisles towards the exits.

This is one of the best shows of its type - so if you love rock 'n' roll, don't miss it!
