A FOOTBALL match with a difference takes place on Sunday.

Seaford Town FC will host the game which will pit Sussex personalities, including former Brighton and Hove Albion stars, against a team of celebrity lookalikes.

Former Seagulls stars taking part include Kerry Mayo, Gary Hart, Charlie Oatway and Guy Butters.

They will be managed by Brighton resident and Big Brother winner Jason Burrill and will go under the name Celeb FC.

Meanwhile Team Lookalikes will include doppelgangers for X Factor judge Simon Cowell, David Beckham, Kate Moss, Jason Statham and Marilyn Monroe.

There will be 12 other teams, including Seaford Town Vets, Chandlers Building Supplies and The Wolo Foundation taking part.

The Seaford Town football ground, in Bramber Lane, will be open from 11am and will include live music from midday.

There will be a photo booth on site for supporters to capture fun moments and snaps next to the celebrity lookalikes.

Former Albion defender Kerry Mayo, who played for the Seagulls from 1995 until 2009, said: “The Brighton players have been friends of Celeb FC team manager Jason for many years, so of course we jumped at the chance to support four great charities while being able to play football together.”

Karin Flower, founder of Celeb FC, said: “We are utterly delighted to have been instrumental in creating this event in our team managers hometown of Seaford.

“Of course, everything that we do is important, however when so many people come together to arrange an event such as this, it is truly heart-warming.

“Celeb FC owes a great deal of thanks to so many people connected to this event – the celebs who support us voluntarily, the venue Seaford FC, Chandlers building supplies, the local press and local communities – but it all really comes down to ticket sales on the day. So please come along.”

All the money raised on the day will go to four charities: Teenage Cancer Trust, Rainy Days Trust, Variety Children’s Charity and Seaford based Wolo Foundation.

The Wolo Foundation is a charity that helps support families who have loved ones battling cancer.

Tickets are available on the gate from 11am and cost £3 for Adults and £2 for children.
