Fern Brady used to review comedy, that was until the magazine she was working for suggested she “faked it” as a comedian for a piece.

She clearly caught the comedy bug and is now one of the fastest rising comics in the UK.

She was hand picked by Stewart Lee for the Alternative Comedy Experience on Comedy Central and has since been travelled the country making a name for herself.

You only have to watch a few minutes of her stand up routine to understand why she is being touted as one to watch.

Ant Middleton

Brighton Dome, Brighton, Monday

Global adventurer Ant Middleton will be telling tales of his exploits live on stage in Brighton next week.

Having had a career in the armed forces he is now putting his skills to the test on reality TV.

He is best known as the chief instructor on the hit Channel 4 show SAS: Who Dares Wins, in which regular people are put to the test in extreme ways.

This show will recreate what mental and physical tolls Ant’s work took on him and how you can motivate yourself to take on any kind of challenge in the same way.

Megan McKenna

Komedia, Brighton, Tuesday

Megan McKenna is best known for her roles on Ex on the Beach and The Only Way Is Essex, but now the reality TV star has turned her hand to music.

She rose to fame in 2015 as part of the popular Ex on the Beach series on MTV.

From there her stock rose as she earned herself roles in Celebrity Big Brother and hit ITV show The Only Way is Essex.

After her time on the small screen Megan travelled to Nashville to embark on a solo career in country music.

Megan released her debut country album, Story of Me, in 2018.

The Carpenters Story

Theatre Royal, Brighton, Wednesday

This one of a kind stage show celebrates the music of Richard and Karen Carpenter, widely regarded as one of the most successful pop duos of all time.

Live music will guide the story, which follows the pair on the journey to the top of the charts.

The performance will feature all the timeless hits from the Carpenters repertoire including (They Long To Be) Close To You, We’ve Only Just Begun, Superstar, Yesterday Once More, Top of the World and Please Mr Postman.

Claire Furley is particularly impressive in her role as Karen.

Harry Redknapp

Congress Theatre, Eastbourne, Thursday

For many years Harry Redknapp was a name only really known among football fans.

The former Tottenham, Southampton, Bournemouth, and West Ham boss had quite a storied career in the game.

He even led Portsmouth to FA Cup glory in 2008.

Then he went on, and won, I’m a Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here in 2018 and endeared himself to a whole new audience.

In Eastbourne he will be sharing stories from his career and time in the jungle.
