THE wet weather may be putting a dampener on things somewhat, but if you want to get out and about this weekend here are three family friendly things to do:

Stories With Skip

Theatre Royal, Brighton, today, 10am

Stories With Skip is the perfect way to introduce your little ones to theatre.

Aimed at children from two to four years old, the show incorporates stories, games and crafting, with each show taking on a different theme.

Aptly, the theme for this weekend’s performance is autumn.

The hour-long show is a great way to give your children an early glimpse at what the world of theatre has in store.

Tickets cost £5.50.

In The Night Garden Live

Congress Theatre, Eastbourne, today at 1pm and 4pm and tomorrow at 10am and 1pm

Much like Stories With Skip, this is another great way to get your youngsters into theatre at an early age.

A live show based on the popular children’s TV programme, In The Night Garden will give your little ones the chance to see some of their favourite characters in person.

Join Igglepiggle, Upsy Daisy, Makka Pakka and the rest of the fun and quirky cast in a show that will leave your youngsters giddy for the rest of the day.

Tickets start from £15.50.
