ANOTHER festival celebrating a major anniversary is the South Of England Show, which is 40 this year.

This year the show, which is put on by the South Of England Agricultural Society, is celebrating the cow, with displays of various breeds ranging from the Sussex to the Friesian.

Special guests will also include the Band Of The Corps Of Royal Engineers, and the White Helmets Motorcycle Display Team.

There will also be food from A Taste Of Sussex, who will be at the show for the very first time.

Among the guests at the English Wine and Regional Food Pavilion will be Boathouse Organic from Lewes who will be doing a barbecue, Bookham Cheese And Pasta from Haywards Heath, and beer from Harvey and Sons and Hepworth.

A Taste Of Sussex co-ordinator Hilary Knight says, "Sussex is now enjoying something of a culinary revolution.

"For all those who want to buy local but do not know where to start, this year's South Of England Show will be a real eye-opener."
