Geno Washington and The Ram Jam Band had two of the biggest selling UK albums of the Sixties. One of those records, Hand Clappin, Foot Stompin, Funky Butt Live, was in the album charts for 48 weeks in 1966 before being elbowed out the charts by something a little godlier - The Sound of Music.
As his new album Return of the G shows ("the most righteous sounding s*** I've ever been involved in"), the man who told Ian Brown many moons ago that he should become a singer, is back.
