With that difficult third album, and a new guitarist to break in too, Hot Hot Heat have got a lot to prove on this tour.
The Canadian band's latest album, Happiness Ltd, is the first with new guitarist Luke Paquin. Founder and frontman Steve Bays says: "We wanted this record to be written on the road, partly so the influences would be more varied but also so we could test out the songs before we recorded them.
"We wrote music everywhere - Spain, Japan, Australia and the UK - so each song has a different mood."
Listen out for a theremin and an orchestra in among the new experimental sounds.
