It was the patronage of Michael Stipe that first brought the paraplegic singer-songwriter Vic Chestnutt to the music world's attention.
The REM frontman produced Vic's first two albums and contributed to a 1996 tribute album Sweet Relief Two which also featured Madonna and Smashing Pumpkins singing Vic's songs.
Chestnutt was injured in a car accident when he was 18, but it didn't stop him touring the US and recording 11 albums including his latest, North Star Deserter. This show sees him backed by members of Fugazi, Godspeed You Black Emperor and Thee Silver Mount Zion.
