The band formerly known as Kara's Flowers are back on the road with the follow-up to the multi-million selling Songs About Jane. The origin of the name Maroon Five is apparently only known to the band and singer-songwriter Billy Joel, of all people. Guitarist James Valentine describes the name change as a relief: "Kara's Flowers was a difficult name to communicate. People called us Cars and Flowers, Carlos's Flowers, all sorts."
The latest album It Won't Be Soon Before Long, has been given a harder edge with the addition of new drummer, Matt Flynn.
