If for nothing else, Sarabeth Tucek has already carved herself a tiny place in rock history with her fleeting appearance in Ondi Timoner's cult documentary Dig!
Sarabeth is the unlucky singer-songwriter to be introduced at New York's Knitting Factory by The Brian Jonestown Massacre's notoriously unhinged frontman Anton Newcombe as his "sister".
An excruciating few minutes follows as Anton sits at Sarabeth's feet looking up at her adoringly while she plays, before turning on the crowd to kick a heckler in the face.
The Miami-born musician seems to be rising above that initial brush with fame or notoriety, with her self-titled debut album set for release in April. Its lead-off single, Something For You, has already received high praise, with the NME informing anyone who didn't think it was the most beautiful record released this year to "f*** off and die".
And they say objective music journalism is dead.
Apart from Anton, Sarabeth has also captured the ear of a genuine music legend. Bob Dylan invited her to open for him when he played in Northampton, Massachussetts, after hearing her album.
"My whole life is wrapped up in his songs," she says. "He is wholly original. There will never be anyone like him again."
