With their third album Microcastle, Atlanta’s Deerhunter went from being a well-kept cult secret to a band on every tastemaker’s lips with its combination of dreamy ambience and garage rock.
Led by Bradford Cox, the four-piece followed their breakthrough 2008 album with an EP Rainwater Cassette Exchange in 2009.
Despite claiming to be on a break last year, band members have still produced fresh work in side-projects including Atlas Sound and Lotus Plaza.
This Brighton show will see the band perform fresh from appearing at the Matt Groening-curated All Tomorrow’s Parties festival this weekend in Minehead.
Support from The Fresh And Onlys.
Starts 8pm, tickets £12.50/£14.50. Call 01273 673311.
