Jazz meets indie rock ethic is how the Neil Cowley Trio describes its unique sound.
With their first album Displaced winning a BBC Jazz Award in 2007, and its follow-up Loud... Louder... Stop being named one of Mojo’s top 50 albums of 2008, the trio’s third Radio Silence has a lot to live up to.
Bandleader Neil has an impressive musical pedigree in any case, having begun life as a professional musician with a Blues Brothers tribute band, before touring with the likes of The Pasadenas, Brand New Heavies and Zero 7.
More recently he has added his piano vituosity to Adele’s 19 album and the latest Stereophonics collection Keep Calm And Carry On.
Starts 8pm, tickets £12.50.
