Brighton band Anemo have already released a record in America and are now coming home to try their luck.
Slowburn was released last autumn on the New York label City Canyons Records and was played by 160 college radio stations. The track was described by Creem Magazine as: "A mixture of Eurythmics, Pretenders and Portishead. This is perky."
Anemo (which means "changing forms") formed in summer 2001. At the core is the songwriting partnership of vocalist Hazelle (a former actress who appeared in Shakespeare in Love and Eyes Wide Shut) and keyboard player Kingsley Sage.
The line-up is completed by Matt Palmer, Erika Woodhurst and guitarist Bernard Watson.
