"There are only three things happening in England: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Terry Reid," said Aretha Franklin circa 1968. It was a remarkable accolade for a remarkable singer - British soulman Terry Reid, also known as Superlungs on account of his extraordinary guttural vocal talent.
Reid has an impossibly rich story to tell of his life, from teen rock prodigy through all of his years in rock 'n' roll, turning down the role of lead singer in Led Zeppelin and supporting the likes of Cream and The Rolling Stones.
Complex and crippling litigation issues now behind him, Reid has only recently regained control of many of his songs from the Sixties. A new record label has allowed him to release the now classic-albums River and Seed of Memory.
