Despite their relatively short tenure within rock 'n' roll, The Rifles exude the self-contained, adrenalised air of a band inspired by those street level perceptions which characterise one of British pop's most vital bloodlines from The Kinks to The Smiths to The Streets.

A blokey band with a history of playing in jam-packed and smoky London pubs and clubs, The Rifles' sound (think Hard Fi crossed with a dash of Baby Shambles) is fuelled by a bleak London wit and a cinematic vision which takes in everything from Nil By Mouth to Seventies' cult classic The Warriors.

Graham Coxon, Madness and Terry Hall have all professed their fandom and their first two singles have seen them score them two top 40 hits.
