Having spent her childhood around the bright lights of folk - often with Bert Jansch and John Renbourne - and hearing her father Steve Tilston and stepmother Maggie Boyle playing together in the next room, Martha started writing at an early age.
Receiving her first rave reviews with the acoustic duo Mouse, she has returned to folk music. She has fans in many quarters, following seven years of gigging, in venues varying from London theatres to her local pubs in Brighton and the campfires, woods and frontrooms where she first learnt her trade.
Her latest album, Of Milkmaids And Architects, is a spellbinding record which explores her family connections and the nature of folk music.
- Starts 8pm, tickets £10. Call 01273 647100.
