One of the UK's most successful stand-up poets and the brains behind live poetry collective Aisle16, Luke Wright brings his acclaimed solo show, Poet Laureat, to Brighton.
Mixing poetry and comedy, the 24-year-old cuts a swathe through the idiocies and obsessions of contemporary Britain and explains his plans to reform the most brown-nosed and out-dated job in poetry. Verbal and visual gags collide as his acerbic verse is matched by an interactive backdrop featuring the violently beautiful artwork of Samuel W Ratcliffe.
- Starts 7.30pm, tickets £8/£5. Call 01273 647100
