Whether it is lawnmowers interrupting the dialogue or the always-imminent threat of rain, there is something special about outdoor theatre.
Illyria Theatre is launching the Hawth's season of alfresco productions with Shakespeare's comedy on their own Globe-style stage. The award-winning theatre company tells the story of love, laughter and jealousy as Don Pedro's soldiers return home from war.
Love is in the air between Hero and Claudio, while it is hatred at first sight for Beatrice and Benedict, although some conniving by their so-called friends brings them together unexpectedly.
- Starts 7.30pm, tickets £10.50/£8.50. Call 01293 553636.
