One fan said: “Is this your first full-boyfriend? Congrats!! Gives me hope because I'm 25 and never had a boyfriend so you inspired me.”

Another added: “Congratulations girl, you are one of a million, truly hand on heart you are the most genuine the loveliest person I ever seen on screen. You have been true to yourself throughout your life, and I thank you for that. Enjoy life Amy you deserve it.”

Even the deputy leader of the Welsh Labour Party Carolyn Harris tweeted her excitement, saying: “Looking fab.. both of you xx.”

New boyfriend Sam featured in Aldi's 2016 Easter advert, in which an office full of women run to watch a shirtless Sam mowing the lawn.

He then proceeded to open a packet of hot cross buns and pour them on himself.

Amy went down in Love Island history books after voluntarily walking out of the show when ballroom dancer Curtis showed interest in another contestant.

She has since appeared on Celebs Go Dating and opened up about plans to have solo IVF treatment.

She previously revealed she had her eggs frozen due to fertility fears, as several members of her family had gone into early menopause at the age of 41.

She told OK Magazine in March this year: “I was actually talking about having solo IVF next year.

“Lots of people say, ‘Why would you do that – a baby deserves a mum and a dad’.

"But I’ve got so many friends who had children with boyfriends, fiancés and husbands and have ended up single mums with dads who want nothing to do with the babies.”

The former air hostess had to undergo three attempts to freeze her eggs successfully earlier this year.

She said she would “never want to miss out on having children because I didn’t meet the right person in time”.
