A WOMAN given three months to live has been "overwhelmed" by an influx of support after she won a TV competition and revealed she plans to spend the cash on a farewell party for friends and family.

Heather Bone from Selsey appeared on ITV's This Morning on Tuesday, having been selected for the show's Dosh on your Doorstep competition.

Viewers were left heartbroken when the 41-year-old revealed she has terminal breast cancer.

The mother-of-two told presenter Alison Hammond: "I got diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019.

"I then got the all-clear just before my 40th birthday and thought things were getting back to normal.

"But then I got told I have brain mets.

"I've been told I've got three months to live, and so now I'm going to have a a 'wake me up before you go, go' party, so it's sort of a party before my passing."

Heather first went to see a doctor towards the end of 2019 when she noticed a swelling in her arm.

Tests revealed she had inflammatory breast cancer - a particularly aggressive form of cancer - and Heather underwent chemotherapy and a mastectomy.

She decided to document her treatment and raise awareness on her My Journey Facebook page and on Instagram.

Heather got the all-clear last summer but later started to get headaches, and doctors made the devastating discovery that the cancer had spread to her brain, known as brain metastases.

This Morning donated an extra £1,000 on top of the £1,000 she had won in the Dosh on your Doorstep quiz for Heather's farewell party.

Heather, who turned 41 this week, was also treated to a birthday message from one of her favourite singers, Craig David

Since her appearance on the show, she has been "overwhelmed" with messages of support on social media.

Many people asked if they could make a donation and so Heather's sister in law, Amanda Barkham, set up a GoFundMe page set up to support Heather's family.

The crowdfunding page has now raised more than £15,000 in a matter of days.

It states: "Heather will be leaving her husband, Dan, whom she married in 2018, and two young sons, Lewis and Marcus.

"On behalf of Heather's family, we would like to raise money to help her in her final few months of life, and to help her boys after she's gone."

Appearing on This Morning again on Wednesday, Heather said: "I woke up yesterday with my Instagram having 260 followers, and I woke up today with my Instagram following at 32,000 followers.

"I have probably slept about two hours last night, reading all the messages."
