From exploding ostrich eggs to methane mambas, this year’s University of Brighton science show Bigger Bang VII promises to be bigger and more explosive than ever.
Fronted by “chemistry evangelist” Hal Sosabowski, the university’s professor of public understanding of science, the annual show aims to show that science isn’t just about diagrams and whiteboards.
Brimming with educational experiments and dazzling displays, the show takes place at the university’s new £23m Huxley Building in Moulsecoomb, Brighton, on Friday, December 14.
Professor Sosabowski said: “This is a unique event with breathtaking experiments the likes of which you will never see anywhere else. The event is an almost guaranteed way of getting children and adults turned off games consoles and on to science.”
Tickets cost £7 each or £24 for a family of four. Contact stemsussex@brighton.ac.uk or call 01273 644178
