Sir Patrick replies Adam Trimingham might disagree with Sir Patrick Moore’s opinions in respect of immigration, but he is entitled to his opinion (The Argus, December 19).
Overall, Sir Patrick achieved many things and brought pleasure and information to many people.
I would suggest Mr Trimingham does some detailed research into Patrick’s activities and achievements before he writes such a one-sided view.
If Mr Trimingham achieves 1% of that achieved by Sir Patrick then he would have done well.

Sir Patrick Moore was a kind and generous man, who encouraged generations of new astronomers.
I have never read such an article in my life.
Opinions and times have changed over the years.
If someone has opinions different to the current way of thinking, that should be fine as we live in a free country.
To talk about a gentleman in this manner is out of order.
