Those who know their Pink Floyd from their Fatboy Slim will be aiming to hit all the right notes at a charity music quiz in aid of a Hove hospice.

Proceeds from the event at Sussex County Cricket Ground on Thursday, March 7 will go towards patient care at the Martlets Hospice on Wayfield Road.

Communications manager Lucy Brandram said: “As a registered charity, all our services are provided free of charge.

"The Martlets receives less than a third of its funding from the government and so we must raise more than £8,000 a day to care for our patients and their families.”

Compered by comedian and former Neighbours star Mark Little, the evening will feature live sets from a host of local musicians and performers.

Ms Brandram said the hospice is hoping to match the success of last year’s event, which raised over £6,000.

Players are invited to pit their wits against each other in teams of up to six, and music buffs of all ages are welcome.

The quiz takes place on Thursday, March 7 at 7.30pm in the Boundary Rooms, County Ground, Eaton Road, Hove. Tickets are £15 per person.
