On the subject of travellers (The Argus, February 14), it is clear the issues facing Brighton and Hove City Council are becoming ever more challenging and complex.

From other recent articles in The Argus, we now also know there are more and more people from all walks of life who appear to have had to resort – often through no fault of their own – to living in caravans, in addition to the many other travellers and itinerants.

Perhaps The Argus should invite Conservative councillor Geoffrey Theobald – given that his is the party of Government and the ultimate provider of local funding – to set out how he might address and try to resolve the issues involved, and whether or not that would be in open cross-party deliberations.
