The Sussex Senior Cup has captured the imagination of Crawley Town fans this season.
After a second round win at Whitehawk, about 60 fans made the short journey from Crawley down to Newhaven FC last Wednesday night.
Richie Barker, Richard Low and Vic Marley, along with many of Crawley Town’s backroom staff, were also in attendance and it was lovely to share some time with them in the clubhouse.
An exciting match unfolded with League One Crawley just scraping a 1-0 win with a Jonte Smith strike.
Many thanks to Newhaven FC for hosting an excellent evening and good luck to them for the rest of the season.
Meantime the win sets up an intriguing away tie at Hastings. With the final being played at the Amex, fans of the reds will not want to be leaving this competition any time soon.
