So now Brighton and Hove City Council are panicking about traces of horsemeat in burgers in school meals and have cancelled the contract (The Argus, February 16).
Why were they being dished out to schools anyway? I thought Jamie Oliver had convinced councils that burgers should be off the menu.
In my youth we had hamburgers, not beefburgers.
What is the betting that beef is much cheaper than pork, so the name was dropped to just “burgers”? What goes around comes around, eh?
