A teenage airman who died in a Second World War plane crash will be remembered at a special |event.
Flight Sergeant Frank Beattie, 19, died in September 1944 when his Lancaster bomber was shot down in eastern France.
His sacrifice is to be remembered at a memorial ceremony in Alsace, France, in September.
The French organisers are now looking for members of Mr Beattie’s family, who lived in Brighton during the war.
