Conservatives are celebrating after holding on to a district council seat following a by-election.
Tory candidate Andy Cooper took the Angmering seat with 878 votes while Labour leapfrogged the Liberal Democrats to take second with 268 votes, doubling their vote from the previous election and taking a 7% swing from the Conservatives.
The Arun District Council election was called following the death in January of Conservative councillor Julie Hazlehurst.
