Brighton and Hove City in Bloom has launched its 2013 campaign for the first time as an independent group.
Mayor of Brighton and Hove Bill Randall joined Julian Amya, designer of the new logo, to officially mark the campaign open at the Jubilee Library in Brighton.
Brighton and Hove City in Bloom is a campaign where communities, residents and businesses can work together to improve the environment of the city to make it greener, cleaner and more attractive.
Chairman of Brighton and Hove City in Bloom Paul Skelly said: “Whether it’s a garden, a hanging basket, an allotment or a window box, we, with them, will celebrate our growing communities both domestic and commercial.
“We thank the city parks team for their all their hard work over the years.
"Due to economic constraints the council could no longer fund the scheme as it stood and agreed to award the new voluntary group a one-off discretionary award to enable us to reconfigure as a self funding and independent group.”
