The initial stages of a flagship event at this year’s Brighton Festival are underway as clothing has begun to appear on one of the city’s landmarks.
The outdoor installation is likely to be one of the most talked about pieces of art at this year’s festival as shirts are tied to the Clock Tower in the centre of Brighton.
The award-winning artist behind the display is Kaarina, who is known for creating pieces of art with shirts.
Kaarina, from Finland, had been urging local residents to donate their shirts to become part of the project after she ran out of clothes for the giant outdoor spectacle. The artist is the toast of the European art scene having received rave reviews for her open space commissions.
