An audio-only theatre piece from the team behind Game of Thrones has been named as the first Argus Angel winner.

The European Premiere of EarFilms, which was staged in the Brighton Dome Corn Exchange, was nominated for the gong by reviewer Jenny Tregoning.

Part-written by the sound team behind TV series Game of Thrones, it is set in a world which has been devastated by natural disasters.

Audience members are blindfolded with the show’s 3D ambisonic sound system creating a playground for the imagination.

The show closed on Monday.
