The little room above The Quadrant where Laughing Horse hosts a wide variety of comedy acts was bursting at the seams as I walked in to see Le Flop. An absurd hour of vibrant clowning ensued with totally won over the audience through animated performances and brazen interaction.

The sketches were gloriously silly, and Le Flop were definitely at their best when they were using their extreme physicality and playing off the audience.

I found a couple of the sketches more strange - very much at the edges of an alternative humour The puppet sketch was quite odd and maybe needs a little revisiting to bring the style more in line with the rest of the show.

The climax of the show was extremely funny; Stuart Bowden providing a great live commentary accompanied by the ukulele. Le Flop worked the audience into a frenzy and we left tickled, happy to forget some of the weirder elements, and chuckling over the wacky characters.
