Charity Marie Curie Cancer Care has joined forces with energy company EDF to raise £600,000 over the next three years.
EDF’s Catherine Fowler and Mike Belton, with Lucy Caslon from MCCC celebrated the partnership at EDF’s Hove office, where 18 staff will raise money for the charity by walking or running the eight miles to the company’s Worthing office on Friday, June 21.
EDF has pledged to match employees’ fundraising by up to £100,000 each year.
One of those taking part is employee David Sheppard, who said: "This challenge is no mean feat and a personal challenge for all of us.
"This is a great opportunity for us to help support our new company charity partner and raise some funds for a very worthwhile cause."
