Duchess of Cornwall visits Chailey Heritage Foundation top open £3m centre
The Duchess of Cornwall retraced her mother’s steps to open a state-of-the-art centre for disabled young adults.
She told how her late mother Rosalind Shand, who volunteered at the centre during the 1960s and ‘70s, would be proud of the “wonderful” new centre.
The royal visit marked the official opening of a £3 million ‘life skills’ centre at Chailey Heritage Foundation and the centenary of its chapel.
The foundation supports children and young adults with complex physical disabilities and health needs.
