Sussex Meals on Wheels customers are being given advice on avoiding scammers with their hot meals.

Customers are being offered information leaflets about how to spot a scam.

The delivery service is provided by the Royal Voluntary Service with the leaflets produced by the Trading Standards Institute and the Citizens Advice Bureau.

Peter Catchpole, West Sussex County Council cabinet member for adult social care and health, said: “We hope that providing this information will make residents feel more secure and contribute to maintaining their independence for longer.”
