While in Lewes Road, in Brighton, the other day, I counted nine establishments selling alcohol.
Only three of these were supermarkets and none were actual pubs.
I hear that Morrisons now wants to open yet another off-licence in our city.
Do we really need another outlet for alcohol?
Brighton and Hove has a serious drink problem as it is, and it will not be helped by making any form of alcoholic drink more easily available.
We do not need more off-licences – we need fewer.
