It’s a shame that people such as Colin Mann (The Argus, June 24) can generate so much anger about grass verges – something so beneficial to our bird and animal life in our ever-more-congested world.
He may well pay his rates but our wildlife has a right to life, too – or would he simply prefer a more sterile world where the only animals are those we keep to kill in order to fill our seemingly bottomless stomachs?
We need to consider all others. This world is not solely for the benefit of mankind – there is more to life than our dubious mob. Life works best as a kaleidoscope, instead of as a uni-species farce.
