I got yelled at by both a pedestrian and then a cyclist, all in one split second in Ship Street, Brighton, last week.
Driving slowly through Ship Street – you can’t really drive otherwise there, anyway – a woman decided to walk out in front of me and then walk along the middle of the road in front of me.
I veered right to avoid her after she shouted that I was trying to run her over, saying she was there before me (she wasn’t, she just wasn’t looking).
I was then yelled at by a cyclist ranting I was in his lane.
I explained it was only due to me swerving to miss the woman walking in the middle of the road.
Luckily I was adhering to the speed limit and driving on the road, which I believe is the purpose of my car...
