Budding photographers have been taking advantage of the summer weather for some stunning entries for our competition.

The Argus launched the Your Sussex photograph competition last month and asked you to send the image which best summed up what you love about the county.

Pictures continue to flood in with just two weeks left for you to enter.

Argus chief photographer and judge, Simon Dack, added: “We want to see pictures with people and real character – not just landscapes.”

Among our favourite recent entries is Tom Welland’s, which encapsulated what summer evenings are all about with his scene featuring Brighton’s West Pier in the background.

Jess Squires’ entry titled “young dream” certainly warms the heart.

The Argus:

While this shot from David Moyes  – while not quite answering the brief – is simply stunning.

The Argus:

The deadline for entries is September 7.

The winner will receive an overnight stay for two (including breakfast) at Thistle Hotel in Brighton.

You can submit your entries in a number of ways.

You can email competitions@theargus.co.uk with “Your Sussex competition” as the subject header.

Alternatively you send your entries in by texting SUPIC to 80360.

You can also send them by post to Your Sussex Competition, Argus House, Crowhurst Road, Brighton, BN1 8AR.
