A convicted armed robber and child kidnapper could be on the run in Sussex.

Sussex Police have warned the public to be wary of Mark Sleman who is on the run after breaching conditions of his release from prison.

Sleman, also known as Archie Sleman and Stuart Holmes, from Exeter is currently wanted by police after failing to abide by the conditions of his release from prison.

He was also convicted for kidnapping and trying to rape a 10-year-old child and was released earlier this year on licence as part of a seven-year sentence for robbing a homeless man at knifepoint and attempting to rob a garage shop supervisor in Exeter.

He is described as white man, 5' 11" tall, cropped ginger hair, blue eyes with a three inch scar on his right cheek. Sleman has links to various areas in Exeter but police also believe he may have travelled to East Sussex.

Anyone who knows the current whereabouts of Sleman or has seen him recently is asked to contact Devon & Cornwall Constabulary on 101 quoting reference DE/13/8408.
