This Brighton-made bling accessory is strictly the must-have essential for stricken dancers.

Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood has been showing off his diamante encrusted crutch as he recovers from a hip operation.

The crutch was made by Brighton based company essentialaids. The company started to make the crutches and walking frames when it heard about the TV judge's hip replacement operation and decided to send him the crutches and a diamante walking frame to aid his recovery.

He loved them, using them twice on Sunday's 'Strictly Come Dancing' and Monday's 'It Takes Two' and plans to use both mobility products when he appears in panto in December.

The crutch has already been a big hit with his fellow judges, with Bruno Tonioli exclaiming: “Look how glamorous it is!' and host Claudia Winkleman gushing: 'It's so gorgeous!'

Managing director, Alex Wrenn says: 'We sell twelve thousand different independent living aids and we're delighted that Craig Revel Horwood has found our diamante crutch both useful and fun'.

The crutches are made using standard, good quality crutches and covered with a diamante webbing.

Designer Theresa Kelly said mobility products should not be overlooked when it comes to style.

She added: “Clothes, shoes and bags allow people to express their individuality, so there's no reason why mobility equipment can't also be glamorous and eye-catching.”

The Strictly star, known for his acid tongue, has taken to hydrotherapy to help ease the pain of the operation.

The Australian born judge has been comforted by his new boyfriend Damon Scott, 34, who appeared in the first series of Britain's Got Talent.
