Black Rock in Brighton is where the Downs first hit the sea which makes it a must for many archaeologists.
But since then the development of Brighton Marina has utterly changed the atmosphere of the area.
Alan Dart from Storrington, who sent in the picture, thinks one of the buildings is a pub called The Abergavenny. The other one is a creamery selling teas.
There was a lot of coastal erosion in this area before the cliffs were stabilised in the 1930s by building the Undercliff Walk.
The buildings are now long gone but Mr Dart says, “I am not sure whether they fell into the sea or were demolished to make way for the new coast road.”
