It makes my blood boil when people moan about having no electricity and no water due to the recent storms. I was one of those who had no water for a whole day but I searched the shops for bottled water for myself and neighbours. One of my sons had no electricity.
It would be a good idea to appeal for donations for all the emergency staff who worked flat-out over Christmas to get us all up and running again. Don’t you think they deserve an extra Christmas box, after all? What would we do without them?
Let’s show our workers some appreciation. We might need them in the future.
