Am I the only person getting increasingly frustrated by children playing on their scooters in shops and the city centre?
There was a recent incident where a six-year-old boy was messing around on his scooter in a shop while his father paid for his goods. The child and the scooter landed on my mum’s feet and a row quickly ensued between my mum and the father, who felt that, as his son was only six, he should not know better.
It was incredulous! Having spoken to friends after this incident I have heard many other stories.
Come on parents, the shops are not a playground. Please do not allow your children to take their scooters shopping and if you do insist on taking your child with their scooter, please teach them right from wrong, as well as some manners and common courtesy.
Maybe Churchill Square should take a stand on it and ban them?
